2017 CAE in Cybersecurity Community Symposium Call for Proposals

Greetings CAE in Cybersecurity Community! This year the annual CAE in Cybersecurity Community Symposium will take place on November 9, 2017, immediately following the NICE Conference. This event is designed to provide members and applicants the opportunity to network, receive community updates, and present their research to the community. We are seeking proposals from the CAE in Cybersecurity Community to facilitate fast pitch sessions, special interest group sessions, and presentations (these will occur during the breakout sessions). A committee will select proposal submissions based on available spots.

The following are the acceptable topics for fast pitch, special interest group, and presentation sessions:

Fast Pitch Session Theme

This year, the theme for the fast pitch sessions is "Leading the Future of Cybersecurity Education." Please keep in mind we have a limited number of spots for fast pitch sessions.

Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups within the community have an opportunity to hold a working meeting during the CAE in Cybersecurity Community Symposium. These sessions will occur for 1 hour in breakout rooms. Sample topics include Women and Minorities in Cyber Security, CAE Mentor/Peer Reviewer Updates, and Cyber Security Pathways. All groups are required to provide documentation (agendas, PowerPoints, etc.) of the session.

Presentations slots are available for participants. Presentations should be of interest to the CAE in Cybersecurity Community. Sample topics include Cybersecurity Workforce Development, Cybersecurity Pathways, Women and Minorities in Cybersecurity, and New Pedagogical Approaches to Cybersecurity Education. All participants are required to provide presentations for publication to the CAE Community Website within a week of the CAE  in Cybersecurity Symposium.
