The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) is collecting papers for their 2020 Innovator’s Showcase (https://www.insaonline.org/events/innovators-showcase/ ). This showcase will provide technology researchers with the opportunity to highlight their national security-focused independent research and development (IR&D) projects to government Science & Technology (S&T) and procurement officials in the Intelligence Community (IC), the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

All submitted abstracts are provided to S&T and acquisition officials throughout the IC and DOD (in hard copy and on the R-Space network), and developers of the 24 most innovative technologies will be invited to make short “Shark Tank”-like presentations on May 14, 2020, to roughly 75 government S&T and procurement officials.  The Showcase provides an excellent opportunity for universities and companies to present their internal research to government officials who may then provide advice on technology applications and, perhaps, provide support to or procure the technologies presented.

This year’s Innovators’ Showcase will focus on technologies with applications in the following areas:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Behavioral Sciences (including countering disinformation, social media manipulation, and malign influence)
  • Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear Sciences
  • Cyber (including blockchain, IoT, encryption, and supply chain risk mitigation)
  • Materials and Manufacturing
  • Sensors
  • Paradigm Changes

Additional information about the INSA call for abstracts is available online at https://www.insaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/2020_ShowcaseCFA_v3.pdf.
