About the CAE in Cybersecurity Community Symposium
The CAE in Cybersecurity Community Symposium is the annual gathering of faculty, administrators, and partners from NSA-Designated Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) institutions across the nation. The Symposium provides a collaborative space for CAE-designated institutions to share research, explore emerging trends, and strengthen the collective mission of advancing cybersecurity education and workforce development.
Through presentations, workshops, and discussions, attendees engage with peers to exchange best practices, showcase innovative research, and discover strategies to address shared challenges within the cybersecurity education ecosystem. Each year, the Symposium continues to build bridges across academia, government, and industry empowering participants to shape the future of cybersecurity learning and leadership.

The 2026 Symposium will take place April 28–30, 2026, at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This year’s theme, “Get Involved,” encourages every attendee to deepen connections, engage with ongoing CAE initiatives, and discover opportunities to collaborate across Communities of Practice (CAE-CD, CO, R, and Cyber AI).
New for 2026, the CAE Community National Center (CNC) will open a Call for Proposals for general session presentations, expanding opportunities for faculty and practitioners to share their insights and engage directly with the broader CAE network.
Whether you’re returning or attending for the first time, the 2026 Symposium is your chance to connect with leaders shaping cybersecurity education and to take an active role in the CAE Community’s next chapter.
